1. Introduction

Welcome to CAT Review PH ("Platform", "Service", "we", "us", or "our"), accessible at catreviewph.com. This Platform is operated by 1Punch Inc., an authorized training provider of the National Institute of Accounting Technicians (NIAT), with technical platform development and hosting services provided by IOL Inc.

By accessing or using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

Please also review our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using our Platform, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

2. Definitions

  • "User" refers to any individual who creates an account or uses the Platform.
  • "Account" refers to the registered user profile on our Platform.
  • "Subscription" refers to paid or free access to Platform features for specific CAT levels.
  • "Enrollment" refers to registration for NIAT-administered CAT examinations through our Platform.
  • "Content" refers to study materials, practice questions, mock exams, and other educational resources.

3. Account Registration and Security

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account and use our Platform. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 16 years old. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Platform.

3.2 Account Creation

To access our services, you must create an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your account information.

3.3 Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.

3.4 Account Sharing Prohibition

IMPORTANT: Account sharing is strictly prohibited. Each account is licensed for use by a single individual only. You may not share your login credentials, allow others to access your account, or use the same account from multiple locations simultaneously.

Our Platform employs device verification and session management systems to detect and prevent account sharing. We limit concurrent sessions to two (2) devices per account. Violations of this policy may result in:

  • Immediate account suspension or termination
  • Forfeiture of any remaining subscription period without refund
  • Disqualification from referral program benefits
  • Potential legal action for breach of these Terms

New device logins require verification through a one-time password (OTP) sent to your registered email address.

4. Services Provided

4.1 Study Platform

We provide AI-powered study tools including:

  • AI Tutor powered by Claude AI for personalized learning assistance
  • Practice questions and mock examinations aligned with NIAT syllabi
  • Study materials and educational content for CAT Levels 1, 2, and 3
  • Progress tracking and performance analytics
  • AI-generated study plans (for Premium subscribers)

4.2 Exam Enrollment Services

As an authorized NIAT training provider, 1Punch Inc. facilitates exam registration for NIAT-administered Certified Accounting Technician examinations. Enrollment includes exam registration and Platform subscription access.

5. Subscription Tiers and Access

5.1 Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial for CAT Level 1 content (10 days if referred). Free tier access includes limited AI tutor interactions and access to practice materials.

5.2 Paid Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions (Basic and Premium tiers) provide enhanced access including higher rate limits for AI features, full practice question banks, and additional study tools. Subscription access is granted per CAT level.

5.3 Enrollment-Bundled Access

All exam enrollments include a 3-month Premium subscription for the enrolled level, beginning from the date of confirmed payment.

5.4 Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. To cancel:

  • Email us at [email protected] with the subject line "Subscription Cancellation"
  • Include your registered email address and the subscription you wish to cancel

Upon cancellation, you will retain access to your subscription benefits until the end of your current billing period. Subscriptions are not automatically renewed; each subscription period requires a new purchase. Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund for the current period except as specified in Section 6.3.

6. Payment Terms

6.1 Accepted Payment Methods

We accept online payments via GCash, Maya (PayMaya), GrabPay, and credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard) for instant activation. Bank transfers (EastWest Bank) are also available but require manual verification before access is granted.

6.2 Bank Transfer Payments

Bank transfer payments require submission of proof of payment and are subject to manual verification by our team. Access is granted only after successful verification.

6.3 Payment Processor

Online payments are processed through our secure payment partner. The payment page will display "IOL Inc." as the merchant name - this is the parent company that owns and operates CAT Review PH (catreviewph.com). Your payment is securely processed, and confirmation emails will be sent from CAT Review PH.

6.4 Refund Policy

Exam enrollment fees are non-refundable once your registration has been submitted to NIAT. Subscription-only payments may be eligible for refund within 7 days of purchase if no significant Platform usage has occurred. Contact support for refund requests.

7. Examination Policies

7.1 Exam Administration

CAT examinations are administered by NIAT (National Institute of Accounting Technicians). 1Punch Inc. serves as an authorized training provider and registration facilitator. Examination rules, scheduling, and results are determined by NIAT.

7.2 Retake Policy

Users who fail an examination may retake at a 50% discount on the standard examination fee, subject to NIAT's policies and available exam schedules.

7.3 No Pass Guarantee

While our Platform provides comprehensive study resources, we do not guarantee examination success. Passing the CAT examination depends on individual preparation and performance.

8. Referral Program

Users receive a unique referral code upon registration. When a referred user enrolls and completes payment, the referrer earns a commission of ₱300 per enrollment. Commissions are processed monthly. Referral program benefits may be forfeited for violations of these Terms, including account sharing.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Platform Content

All content on the Platform, including study materials, questions, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by or licensed to 1Punch Inc. and IOL Inc. and is protected by intellectual property laws.

9.2 User License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only. This license does not include the right to:

  • Reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any content
  • Modify or create derivative works
  • Use content for commercial purposes
  • Share access with others (see Section 3.3)

10. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Share your account credentials or allow others to access your account
  • Copy, reproduce, or distribute any Platform content
  • Use automated systems or bots to access the Platform
  • Attempt to circumvent security measures or rate limiting
  • Submit false information during registration or enrollment
  • Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the Platform
  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose

11. AI Tutor Usage

Our AI Tutor is powered by Claude AI and provides educational assistance. Users should be aware that:

  • AI responses are generated content and may occasionally contain errors
  • AI responses should be verified against official study materials
  • Usage is subject to rate limits based on your subscription tier
  • AI interactions may be logged for quality improvement purposes

12. Third-Party Services

Our Platform integrates with third-party services to provide functionality. These services have their own terms and privacy policies:

We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their respective terms.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, 1PUNCH INC. AND IOL INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR EXAMINATION FAILURE.

15. Termination

15.1 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, including but not limited to account sharing. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately, and any remaining subscription period is forfeited.

15.2 Account Deletion by You

You may request deletion of your account at any time by visiting our Account Deletion page or by emailing us at [email protected] with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Upon account deletion:

  • Your account and associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
  • Any active subscriptions will be cancelled without refund for the remaining period
  • Certain data may be retained as required by law (see our Privacy Policy)
  • Exam enrollment records submitted to NIAT cannot be deleted

16. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or Platform notification. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Baguio City, Philippines.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
